  • Pollescas receives commendation from SBMA

    Subic EnerZone Corporation (SEZ) VP and General Manager Dante Pollescas recently received a certificate of commendation from the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) for providing technical assistance in restoring the communication, navigation and surveillance function of the Subic Bay International Airport (SBIA) last July 16.
About SEZ

Subic EnerZone Corporation (SEZ) is an Aboitiz-owned electric distribution utility managing the power distribution system of the Subic Bay Freeport Zone. The company was incorporated on June 3, 2003 and started commercial operations on October 25, 2003.                                       

Projects
Because of the present growing load in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, reactive energy produced also increases. To reduce this, Subic EnerZone Corporation initiated the Power Factor Correction Project, and is on-going as the need arises. As of May 2008, Subic EnerZone had already installed and energized 4.05 MVAR of fixed capacitors and will install more as the load grows more. (see story in the Newsroom, page 2)
