  • Pollescas receives commendation from SBMA
    August 20, 2008

    by Raymund Tamayo

Subic EnerZone Corporation (SEZ) VP and General Manager Dante Pollescas recently received a certificate of commendation from the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) for providing technical assistance in restoring the communication, navigation and surveillance function of the Subic Bay International Airport (SBIA) last July 16.

Improvements

ONE of the biggest and proudest acccomplishments of Subic EnerZone Corporation (SEZ) in its first 3 years of existence is the construction of its main office building. Standing along the corner of Canal Road and Labitan Street, SEZ's brand-new administration building gazes gallantly in silence across the entire freeport area, securing the zone with its promise of world class utility service.
With an estimated cost of over 12 million pesos, the building was a testament of the company's credo of “Passion for Better Ways”. New and improved facilities, from the guard house to a basketball court, displays SEZ's metamorphic development from its old “home” at Building 502.
Along with the new buildng were the construction of the transformer yard and covered parking area. These days, SEZ vehicles were more protected from the outside weather and can be used more expeditiously with the arranged parking spaces designated for each company vehicle. Not only the vehicles, but also some of the company's most fundamental electrical supplies --- like transformers, wires, cables, capacitors, and lighting fixtures, among others --- will now have a cleaner, safer, and more organized storage area, as it is now being housed in the transformer yard.
SEZ team members benefited the most with their new work environment, resulting to an improved work efficiency and customer service awareness. Improved office furnitures, equipment, and facilities, provided a safer, more comfortable, and more motivating area for SEZ personnel, enabling them to perform at the highest level.
The SEZ main lobby also provides customers and guests a more relaxed atmosphere, with its very homely set-up. The air-conditioning system is better so customers will have a pleasant time in their brief stay in the office when waiting in line. The comfort room is also more trimmed, well-maintained by SEZ's office maintenance team.
Truly, a lot has improved from SEZ's previous main office.
