SEZ builds new Transformer Yard
To provide a storage area for its various electrical equipment, mainly transformers, Subic EnerZone Corporation (SEZ) has built its own transformer yard located at the company's administration building compound.
The 231-square meter yard will store SEZ's transformers, wires, cables, capacitors, lighting fixtures, among others.
The project, which started last February 25, is divided into two phases, with the construction of the transformer yard as the first phase.
Second phase of the project is the construction of a covered parking area adjacent to the yard as additional parking spaces for other company vehicles. Work on the parking area began last July 31 and will be completed in mid-September.
Scope of works are the ff.: a.) installation of columns; b.) fabrication and installation of rafters, beams, and girders; c.) installation of reused roofing sheets with insulations, flashings, and gutters; d.) concreting of parking slabs; e.) concreting of additional driveway; f.) concreting of gutter; g.) painting works; and h.) clearing and grubbing.
The said project was designed by Arch. Anselmo S. Ferrazzini and is being handled by AINA Construction Company.
